MAPPING A NETWORK FOLDER AS A LOCAL DRIVE

In order to run a product from a server:

PLEASE NOTE: All the actions described below may have to be done by your System Administrator, since that person may be the only one who has "permission" to create and edit folders on the server.

ON THE SERVER OR HARD DRIVE:

NOTE TO SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS:

The new folder should be SHARED and have FULL access rights for any client machine, so that it is possible to run the product's Setup program from the client machine, and view or otherwise affect the product's files.

THEN ON THE LOCAL MACHINE:

The folder has now been mapped as if it were a new disk drive on your local machine.

Now run the Setup Program which has been supplied with the product, either from the newly mapped drive, or from the floppy disk if one has been supplied with the product.
a new folder must be created on the server
the product must be copied into the new folder on the server
the new folder must be "mapped" onto the local machine as if it were a (new)                       local disk drive.
Create a new folder on the server.
Copy the contents of the CD ROM into the new folder.
Run Windows Explorer, and locate the new folder on the server.
Right click on the folder and select the MAP NETWORK DRIVE option. If this option does not appear, please notify your System Administrator.
Click the OK button.
